Two days later.. Monday morning me and my wife arrive at the Gym.

It's in a good location. Great parking. A huge layout inside. Awesome machines, like the Total Body Enhancement Red Light Therapy Machine.

I arrived at the Hauppauge location Saturday morning and began my workout. Twenty minutes later and needing a drink I was surprised to find the water fountain was not working, evidenced by the 3 X 5 PF postcard apologizing for its condition. I approached the customer service desk, grabbed a water from the cooler and asked the young lady behind the counter if the water was complimentary given the unavailability of fountain water, she shrugged her shoulders and said "I don't know", I expressed my surprise and with that another associate volunteered that the water is not free and if you don't put it back I am going to call 911 !! I suggested that instead of calling 911 perhaps he should call the Manager and ask him his recommendation. He told me he didn't have to call anybody because the water is not free,, fine... no problem ..I get it ..so I cut my workout

Better bang for your buck on my opinion than that of retro and blink fitness. Been going to planet fitnesses for about 6 years. No contract which is great no wanna be cross fitters, the occasional meet head but nothing to complain about. Staff is friendly and the facility is brand new and looks so, they do a good job of keeping it clean. Even when it's busiest there's always machines open. If your sceptical, give it a try or take a tour. It's worth the money for sure.

Erich proceeds to tell my wife that LEGALLY the gym has no obligation to provide drinking water,, he misses the whole point,, its not about the money or the legality, its about customer service, and health issues.. not providing drinking water to middle age adults working out is dangerous,, at the very least signs should have been posted at the front doors warning members before beginning...but Erric refused to listen insisting that in HIS gym they only do what is legally necessary...

I joined PF a while ago and have been generally happy. What happened this past weekend is an example of how a series of unexpected events can turn into a customer service nightmare!

This location is "Franchised" so they made up that rule. I will be looking to join LA Fitness soon! It's only $10 more a month & has a pool & indoor basketball & tons of other stuff!

I was told I can only come here 10 times a month because it's not my home gym and after 10 times, if I want to come, I have to switch to this location... what the frown!!!

Just joined today, desk staff efficient and friendly. Explained contract charges and fees. Advised they have free WIFi in gym. Was impressed with cleanliness of everything, groups of employees were moping gym floor. So far all strength equipment I use was present and in good condition. First day very impressed.

I have the Black card & 1 of the reasons I bought it is so I could go to any planet Fitness I wanted to and bring a friend for free! If we can't meet in the middle of where we live, then it's not convenient and just defeats the whole purpose...

I just left the gym and I think I had the rudest experience ever. The gym closes at 7 pm today which I was fully aware of. This guy start flashing the lights on and off 2 mins before they close and interupts my work out to tell me to tell me they're closing. I was aware of that was going to leave at 7. The closing hours. I don't appreciate feeling I'm getting kicked out. I will leave when you close. PF needs to check that guy. It's not friendly and seems hostile to me.

So half an hour later we are working out, Erick approaches my wife and tells her that her membership was being revoked because she had disrespected him to his staff! When I tried to explain to the manager our frustration he once again refused to listen, instead accusing me of trying to steal water on Saturday and causing a commotion now.. He then says this is MY GYM and MY staff and I can revoke your membership at will.. so he did! So I am a former member! Over a drink of water that Erich insists the gym is not legally bound to deliver..

Tuesday morning we arrive at PF to work out and my wife asks for Eric at the desk.. when she is told he was not in,, she expressed her displeasure with his offhanded phone demeanor.

The water fountain is still broken,,, so my wife goes to the desk asks about complimentary water and the same associate from Saturday tells my wife "WATER IS NOT FREE" and your husband tried to steal water on Saturday! ,so she buys two waters and asks the customer service expert for the managers name. we finish our workout go home and call Erick the manager when he gets in.
